Kunskapsskolan Gävle is a primary school for grades 4-9 and currently has approximately 300 students. The school was founded in 2013 and is located in southern Gävle. The school has high satisfaction among students, teachers, and guardians. We have students who are thriving and achieving high academic results. For every student to reach their full potential, we need skilled teachers with strong commitment to student success. At Kunskapsskolan, we always put the individual at the center and are therefore looking for someone who actively works to ensure your students succeed. In addition to being a subject teacher, you will also be a personal mentor to approximately twenty students and hold an individual mentoring conversation with each student every week. You will help them plan and set goals for their studies and follow up on those goals together with both the students and their guardians. At Kunskapsskolan, we practice strong teamwork. You will never face challenges and questions alone. We work together to plan our work in work teams and subject teams. There is great openness among teachers and we share collective responsibility for our students. To make your work easier and allow you to focus your time on students, we have gathered a large portion of our teaching materials on our digital portal Kunskapsporten. For each subject, there are suggestions for teaching methods, assignments, and materials. Qualifications We are seeking a certified Music teacher for grades 4-9. The position is 60%, but can be combined with other assignments up to 100%. You should be well familiar with LGR-22 and formative assessment. Desirable Qualifications We would like to see that you have a few years of experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching. We want you to work well with colleagues, students, and guardians and be solution-focused. We highly value your commitment, your pedagogical competence, and your mentoring ability. We want you to be a stable and trustworthy person who can build confidence with students.
