Middle School Teacher, Grades 7-9 Swedish/Individual Instruction

Our Operations Ösbyskolan is a well-established F–9 school with approximately 700 students and 90 committed staff members. Your Assignment We are looking for a dedicated and skilled teacher for a special teaching assignment at the upper secondary level. The assignment involves working closely with one student with extensive needs for pedagogical and social support during most of the school day. You are responsible for planning, implementing and adapting instruction based on the student's individual needs. A large part of the work involves explaining, structuring and concretizing instruction so that the student can develop in all subjects. You serve as a support in learning by helping the student understand tasks, maintain focus and develop strategies to succeed in school. An important part of the assignment is to work on language development and strengthen the student's Swedish, while you support the student in other subjects. You also actively work to develop the student's independence, social interaction and ability to handle setbacks and demands in the school day. You collaborate closely with teaching staff, special education teachers, student support services and guardians to create a cohesive and long-term support initiative. Your Experience We are looking for someone who has: Teacher certification or other pedagogical education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with students with extensive special support needs. Experience adapting instruction based on individual needs. Strong ability to work on language development. Good Swedish in speaking and writing. It is meritorious if you have experience with: Swedish as a second language. NPF. Low-affective interactions. Teaching in smaller instruction groups. Your Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is a highly skilled educator with great patience and genuine commitment to students with special support needs. You have the ability to build strong and professional relationships while maintaining clear expectations and creating structure. You are calm, secure and work with low-affective interactions even in challenging situations. You have a good ability to motivate students and adapt instruction based on their individual circumstances.
