The Preschool and Primary Education Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with close to 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students, together shaping the future. Påskbergsskolan is an F-9 school located in central Varberg with approximately 570 students. The school has bright, spacious facilities with the ability to adapt to the desired learning environment. DUTIES As a teacher with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible meeting for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your instruction, you give students the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals. Main duties: • Teaching in preschool class. The position also involves teaching in after-school care. • Plan, lead, and evaluate instruction based on regulatory documents and chosen didactic strategies. • Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through professional leadership. • Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence. • Work toward a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians. • Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in daily pedagogical practice. QUALIFICATIONS For us, it is important that you have genuine commitment to the teaching profession and see it as a meaningful mission to make a difference for children and young people. You are a secure pedagogical leader who with warmth and clarity provides guidance and creates the structure necessary for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you work pragmatically to develop the operation together with others. You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have good intuition for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily mood. We are looking for someone who: • Has teaching certification with competence for teaching Swedish, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences for F-3. • Has the ability to base your instruction on proven experience and scientific foundation. • Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up activities within given frameworks. • Has good assessment ability to monitor students' development and provide constructive feedback. • Possesses clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01, end date: 2027-06-15.
