The Preschool and Elementary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, elementary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students, together shaping the future. Påskbergsskolan is located in central Varberg. The school has 500 students in grades F-9. The school uses an adjacent outdoor area for outdoor activities and outdoor education. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES You will work in a substitute pool for grades F-9 at Påskbergsskolan either as a substitute teacher or as a substitute at the after-school program. You may teach students in grades F-9 in theoretical as well as practical subjects and at the after-school program. You may have responsibility for planning activities individually and together with others. By planning, conducting, and following up on your instruction, you give students the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals. Main job duties: • Teaching in grades F-9 • Plan, lead, and evaluate instruction based on curriculum documents and chosen didactic strategies. • Meet each student in their learning progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through professional leadership. • Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence. • Work toward a holistic perspective of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians. • Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in daily pedagogy. You are a confident pedagogical leader who with warmth and clarity provides guidance and creates the structure needed for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you work pragmatically to develop the operation together with others. You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have good sensitivity for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, learning progression, and disposition. We are looking for you who: • Have teacher certification with the right qualifications for instruction. • Have the ability to base your instruction on proven experience and scientific foundation. • Demonstrate skill in systematically planning and following up on activities within given frameworks. • Have good assessment ability to follow up on student development and provide constructive feedback. • Have clear planning ability to structure lessons and study areas. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: September 1, 2026, Start date by agreement, end date: June 10, 2027.
