About the Workplace: Frostaskolan is centrally located in Hörby near the museum, public library, and the Cultural School. Frostaskolan consists of units F-6 with after-school care and 7-9. Approximately 500 students attend the school in total. In 2029, the upper secondary level will move to a newly constructed school to be built on Frostaskolan's school grounds. Frostaskolan's operations are characterized by inclusion, safety, knowledge, and faith in the future. WORK TASKS Frostaskolan F-6 is seeking a teacher for the school's Flexible Teaching Group. The students have significant needs for support in their school day and require a safe, clear, and adapted learning environment with a high degree of structure, predictability, and adult support. Students may have challenges in communication, cognitive ability, social interaction, and emotion regulation, which requires a flexible and relationship-building approach. You assess learning, identify areas for development, and design instruction that is accessible, structured, and motivating. Depending on our students' needs, instruction may take place individually or in small groups. You are flexible and have the ability to create safety even when the day doesn't go as planned. The work requires perseverance and a long-term perspective, and you maintain calm and professionalism even in challenging situations. As a teacher, you plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on current curriculum and course plans. You motivate and inspire students to learn and support them in their academic and social development. You work inclusively and view collaboration with colleagues, student support services, and school leadership as a natural part of your role. QUALIFICATIONS • You have a teaching degree with qualifications to teach grades 1-3 or 4-6. • You have experience teaching in elementary school, and it is advantageous if you have experience in resource schools or special teaching groups and experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders and students with extensive support needs. • You have the ability to adapt instruction based on students' different needs and circumstances. • You have a clear focus on goals based on the operations' governance documents. • You have good collaboration skills and are attentive, building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. • You have clear and secure leadership in your instruction and are a positive role model. • You are engaged and have students' best interests in focus.
