We are looking for you who are or want to become a vocational teacher As a teacher at Realgymnasiet, you create conditions for learning and guide students based on a given educational concept and program objectives. You plan, implement, and evaluate instruction. You continuously assess student achievement and communicate this with the student together with a mentor. You participate in subject team work, team collaboration, and are expected to cooperate with colleagues. Your teaching is supported closely by a mentor and student support services at the school. Together, you create an attractive school that provides students with excellent conditions for active learning. You will teach subjects and courses within the animal care track of the agricultural program. Course content covers a broad perspective of animal care where animal husbandry, veterinary care, animal behavior, and animal biology are focus areas. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on your instruction and student achievement on a continuous basis. Teaching occurs both practically in various agricultural environments, in the classroom, and in our school's own animal facility, as well as through work-based learning with our supervisors in industry. Collaboration with colleagues is important and essential as we work across subject boundaries and on shared teaching projects. Organization and follow-up of work-based learning connected to the subjects/courses included in the position are part of your duties. Important qualities you possess are flexibility and openness to change, as no two days are alike and need to be adapted to the circumstances that arise. Your network within the industry is an asset for this work, as our industry collaboration is an important part of the education. Work related to organizing and operating our companion animal facility may be relevant within the scope of the position. A trial employment period will be applied, and the degree of employment can be up to full-time depending on qualifications and other conditions. Qualifications To be suitable for this position, we see that you have: - Experience in practical and theoretical animal care. - The ability to inspire, enthusiastize, educate, and develop our young people within your chosen track.
