Description We at Vallargärdet School are now seeking a teacher for grades F-6 who wants to play an important role in our students' development and has the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. In the fall semester of 2026, we open the doors to our newly built and modern school in beautiful Vallargärdet. After two years of waiting, our wonderful school is finally ready—a place where learning, community, and faith in the future go hand in hand. The new school features a full-size gymnasium integrated into the building, and on the ground floor we have the privilege of housing Vallargärdet Preschool, which opens up for natural interactions and rewarding collaboration between the educational levels. As a small F-6 school, we offer a safe and family-like environment where everyone is seen. Vallargärdet School | Karlstad Municipality Job Responsibilities As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction based on the curriculum as well as each student's individual needs, conditions, and goals. Through a relational approach and high expectations, you create a safe, accessible, and developmental learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop as much as possible. Your responsibilities include formulating learning goals, choosing appropriate methods and teaching tools, and adapting instruction based on students' different needs and conditions. You work to stimulate students' knowledge development, independence, and participation in both teaching and the school community. You continuously follow up on and evaluate instruction together with the students to develop teaching quality and strengthen student learning. Documentation, assessment, and analysis are a natural part of your role and form the basis for continued planning and development of the operation. You are part of an engaged team where collaboration with colleagues, student support services, teaching assistants, and guardians is an important part of the work. Together, you create the best conditions for students' learning, development, and wellbeing. Qualifications We seek you with teacher certification for grades F-6 and the authority to teach Swedish, mathematics, science, and technology.
