Your Responsibilities Your duties will include: Planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing instruction and working with values-based issues based on the curriculum (Lgr22). Serving as a mentor for students in grades F–3, where you follow their academic and social development and build strong, secure relationships. Creating varied, accessible, and challenging instruction adapted to the needs of the student group, where digital tools are a natural part. Working closely with colleagues, guardians, and other school professionals, as well as the after-school program, to support the student's entire school day and achieve higher goal fulfillment. Actively contributing to collegial learning and school development through discussion, reflection, and experience sharing. Your Workplace Tornhagsskolan is the city-close school with the opportunities of a large school and the family-like feel of a small one. We have the privilege of operating in a green environment with proximity to both the city center and Ryds Recreation Center, which provides us with an inspiring and pleasant work environment with nature as our neighbor. We are an F-6 unit within an F-9 school. In our F-6 section, we have over 80 staff members and approximately 550 students, and we take pride in the cohesion we create. Our overarching development areas currently focus on adapting instruction and strengthening safety and academic environment. About You First and foremost, we are seeking someone with teacher certification and qualification to teach grades F-3. Second, we seek someone with a completed teacher education for grades F-3. Alternatively, you are near the end of your teacher education for grades F-3. It is meritable if you have broad subject qualifications for grades F-3, based on the school's needs. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-guided school through practice or as an employee. It is meritable if you have taught in grades F–3 for at least one school year. In your role as a teacher in grades F-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you can organize and carry out work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in grades F-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to the students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document it.
