The Preschool and Primary Education Department is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary education, and child and student health—we are here for children and students—together we shape the future.
Lindbergs School is located in a rural setting, 8 km northeast of the central town of Varberg. The school accommodates 450 students in grades F-9. The school's playground offers opportunities for play and movement, and the school also uses nearby areas for outdoor activities and outdoor education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible learning experience. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you give students the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:
• Teaching in grades F-3
• Plan, lead, and evaluate instruction based on curriculum documents and chosen didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their learning progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Work toward a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in daily pedagogy.
QUALIFICATIONS
For us, it is important that you have a genuine commitment to the teaching profession and see it as a meaningful task to make a difference for children and young people. You are a confident pedagogical leader who with warmth and clarity provides guidance and creates the structure needed for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you work unpretentiously to together develop the operations with others.
You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, learning progression, and daily state.
We are looking for you who:
• Have teaching certification with qualifications for teaching in preschool class.
• Have the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation.
• Demonstrate skill in planning and systematically following up operations within given frameworks.
• Have good assessment ability to follow up on student development and provide constructive feedback.
• Possess clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Type of employment: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start: 2026-08-13 Start by agreement, ends: 2026-12-18.
This position is a substitute role during a sick leave period during the fall semester with possible extension.
