Your Role with Us
You will primarily teach Swedish in two classes in grades 7-9, physical education in grade 5, and visual arts in grades 4-6 and 8-9, and work closely with your other subject colleagues. Teaching in other groups may become relevant based on your qualifications and competence. The position also includes shared mentorship in a class at the upper secondary level where you will also be part of a work team and subject team.
As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment built on mutual respect and collaboration, through good leadership both in and outside the classroom.
Teaching is designed based on the curriculum's goals where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important foundations. You have positive and high expectations for students and adapt teaching based on all students' levels, with focus on what is best for the student.
Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trustworthy approach. In your role, you stay informed about events in society and youth's everyday life. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and together with colleagues drive development work in the work group/school. You also share responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.
If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading belongs to a qualified teacher.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are primarily looking for you with teacher certification with authorization to teach grades 7-9 in the subject of Swedish and physical education, or alternatively visual arts in primary school. Secondarily, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at university level in the above subject. It is an asset if you have pedagogical education at university level. We would like to see that you have experience working as a teacher in primary school, experience teaching, and working with children aged 13-16.
You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's circumstances and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, work focus, and a desire to learn. We would like to see that you have good skills in teaching children with special needs and the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise. You have engagement, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by society.
A success factor is that you can create trusting relationships both in and outside school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and your work group's methods for continuous improvement.
Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure work based on specified goals.
As a person, you are communicative, responsive, and well-versed, and live up to the professional ethical principles for teachers, and have aptitude for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.
For us to be able to consider your application, you must enclose certificates of education and teacher certification. If there are no qualified certified teachers available, you as an unqualified person may be employed on a limited-time basis according to school law. Upon employment offer, you are required to provide a register excerpt according to applicable legislation.

The school is led by two principals distributed between F-6 and leisure activities and grades 7-9. We have senior teachers and key persons for leisure activities who lead the school's development work and work teams. The student welfare team works actively for all F-9 and in grades 7-9 we also have a social team to support the students. We want to be a safe school with a big heart.
The Department of Children and Education conducts educational activities ranging from preschool to adult education.
