Your Responsibilities
At Bryggan insats, we meet children and young people in need of special support, problematic school absenteeism, and/or NPF diagnoses. This position is a shared role where you both teach and coordinate support measures for students at Bryggan insats. The coordination role includes planning and leading meetings as well as coordinating contact with guardians, the regular school, and external actors such as psychiatry, police, and social services.
As a teacher, you view the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with guardians, colleagues, the regular school, and other community contacts around the student. You work from the student group you meet and use the planning that each student brings from their regular school. Based on this plan, you create adapted and challenging instruction where you support the student pedagogically and socially in getting started with their education. Teaching occurs primarily in all core subjects.
You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To support student learning as well as your own and the facility's development, you utilize the experiences and knowledge of various professionals.
Your Workplace
Bryggan insats is a special teaching group for students in grades 1-9 in need of special support. We receive students for up to six months, after which the student returns to regular school. The goal during their time with us is for the student to get started with their education so they can return to regular school and thrive. This may include working with study technique tools, training the student in social settings, or finding methods to manage the school environment.
Bryggan insats, which is part of Linköping Municipality's special education and support services, conducts its operations in small groups with high staff-to-student ratios, providing opportunities for students to practice social interaction. Students are met by clear, secure, and stable adults. We work closely with students and respond to their emerging needs. Here you'll experience a varied day where you provide adapted instruction in a smaller setting.

About You
First and foremost, we're looking for you with teacher certification and qualifications to teach one or more core subjects (Swedish, English, mathematics) in grades 1-6. Second, we're looking for you with completed teacher education for grades 1-6. Alternatively, you're nearing the end of your teacher education for grades 1-6. It's a merit if you have qualifications to teach all core subjects or multiple subjects in grades 1-6, based on the facility's needs.
It's a requirement that you have experience working in curriculum-based schools through internship or as an employee. It's a merit if you've taught grades 1-6 for at least one school year. Furthermore, it's a merit if you've worked in special teaching groups, with acting-out students, students with school absenteeism, and/or students with NPF. It's also a merit if you have experience working in other facilities with youth in need of support, for example in psychiatry or social services.
In your role as a grades 1-6 teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well-acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have strong communication skills in speaking and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and carry out work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You're responsible for ensuring each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
As a teacher, you're a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and involve them in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other community contacts that appear in your professional role.
