Your Tasks As a teacher with us, you get a varied and engaging day where you support students' development both in and outside the classroom. You plan and carry out your teaching based on the curriculum, while you help build safe relationships in the school. Your tasks include: Planning, Teaching and Evaluation: Responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating instruction in physical education and any additional subjects based on the curriculum (Lgr22). Values-Based Work: Actively work with the school's values, safety and study environment. Mentorship: Your role includes mentorship for a class, which creates safety for students and provides a stable foundation in daily life. Varied and Challenging Teaching: Adapt instruction based on the student group and include digital tools and outdoor pedagogy as a natural part of learning. Collaboration Around the Student: Collaborate with guardians and colleagues on the student's entire school day, including cooperation with after-school care to promote higher goal achievement. Follow-up and Documentation: Document and follow up on students' development and learning, and support their language and communication development. Collegial Learning: Promote and participate in collegial learning through discussion, reflection and experience sharing with various professionals at the school. Your Workplace Nykils School is located in the heart of Nykil community and hosts activities from preschool through grade 6. Approximately 210 students attend, together contributing to a pleasant and family-like school environment. The school consists of several buildings and has a large schoolyard with its own school forest, which we actively use by utilizing nature to inspire play and outdoor pedagogy. In your role, you have your base in a class, which creates safety for both the children and for yourself, but you work in a context where collaboration with colleagues is central. We create good relationships which are reflected in our good results. We want our students to develop into confident and independent people who believe in themselves and see possibilities. You First and foremost, we are looking for you who have teacher certification with eligibility to teach grades 1-6. Secondarily, we are looking for you with completed teacher training for grades 1-6. Alternatively, you are nearing the end of your teacher training for grades 1-6. It is meritorious if you have eligibility to teach multiple subjects, based on the school's needs. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through internship or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 1-6 for at least one school year. It is also meritorious if you have experience with grading or documented student learning during the school year. In your role as a teacher in grades 1-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative ability in speaking and writing in the Swedish language. This is so that according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you organize and conduct work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in grades 1-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning, and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians and other contacts in society that appear in your professional role. It is a requirement that you have a B driver's license and access to your own car, as public transportation to and from Nykil is limited.
