The school is located in the northwestern parts of the city and we have a large catchment area that gives us a varied student base. In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you teach students who are at the beginning of their middle school years and who are developing increasing ability to take responsibility for their learning. You create structured and stimulating instruction that gives students good conditions to reach their learning goals and grow socially. Together with experienced and dedicated colleagues, you contribute to a safe and well-functioning learning environment where student development is in focus. Job responsibilities include, among other things: • Plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on applicable governing documents. • Support student knowledge development through varied work methods and clear structure. • Assess, document, and provide feedback on student learning. • Create a safe and inclusive environment where students feel motivation and study focus. • Work with adaptations and additional support based on different student needs. • Collaborate in work teams and contribute to school development efforts. • The position includes mentorship responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who works in a structured and purposeful manner, with the ability to plan and organize your work with quality. You also need to be a clear leader in the classroom where you give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their circumstances. You are stable and handle stressful situations professionally, while maintaining a positive approach. As a person, you are relationship-building and naturally take initiative in interactions with both students and colleagues, which contributes to an open and trusting climate. You are also collaboration-oriented, unpretentious, and we place great emphasis on your ability to find solutions together with others with a focus on the common goal. We place equal importance on your ability to continuously develop your teaching to motivate and support students in their learning.
