We are now seeking a substitute classroom teacher for grade 1 at Nygårdsskolan who wants to create security, curiosity, and a love of reading for our students. Your Responsibilities As a teacher in grade 2, your starting point is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As a teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school program's activities also work together to achieve higher goal attainment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from your student group and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To support student learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of different professionals' experiences and knowledge. Your Workplace Nygårdsskolan is an F-6 school with currently approximately 300 students, most of whom have multicultural backgrounds. The school has newly renovated, fresh facilities and is located in the Skäggetorp district. The schoolyard is approximately 14,000 square meters and equipped with new play equipment. We offer after-school care for grades F-3 and open recreational activities for grades 4-6. The school has a staffed school library, a well-functioning student welfare team, and developed environmental efforts. Welcome to apply! About You First and foremost, we are seeking you who have teacher certification with authorization to teach in grades 1-3. Second, we are seeking you with completed teacher education for grades 1-3. Third, you are nearing the end of your teacher education for grades 1-3. It is very meritorious if you have authorization to teach Swedish. It is meritorious if you have authorization to teach mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 1-3 for at least one school year. In your role as a teacher in grades 1-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative ability in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is so that, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in grades 1-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that appear in your professional role.
