Description Torslanda School F-6 is a newly built school with approximately 400 students in grades F-6. The school also offers adapted primary education for students in grades 1–6 as well as a special education group (SU). Torslanda School is part of the Hisingen 11 school district together with Torslanda School 7–9 and Nolered School. Job Responsibilities As a teaching assistant, you are an important part of the school's daily operations – a safe and supportive presence for students, teachers, and the entire operation. Your job responsibilities may include: ✔ Supporting students with different needs – from learning difficulties to social challenges. ✔ Assisting teachers in the classroom with pedagogical and practical tasks. ✔ Participating in school activities, from lessons to field trips and theme days. ✔ Collaborating with the student support team, guardians, and colleagues to create the best possible conditions for student development. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has teaching assistant training and experience working as a teaching assistant, or who is willing and intends to train as a teaching assistant. It is a merit if you have previous experience working in adapted primary school, particularly if you have worked with children/students at different developmental levels and are familiar with NPF diagnoses. You should have a genuine interest in working with students in adapted primary school. Furthermore, you should be attentive and flexible, in order to read and respond to the students and the operation as a whole. Being relationship-building with students and guardians, as well as with colleagues, is an important aspect. In addition, you need to have patience and good understanding of what it means to work with clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal interaction. You are proficient in AAC (visual supports and TAKK) and handle challenging behavior calmly. You can set boundaries when needed. Moreover, you are solution-focused, responsible, cooperative, and proactive.
