The Adapted Upper Secondary School in Sollefteå is located in the same building as Sollefteå Upper Secondary School, with which we are well integrated. We are a small unit with approximately 15 students, three teachers and 4 support staff who work closely together. When we need help, student welfare services are available for support. Because we are part of a school with many vocational programs, we can try working in both the kitchen and workshop and building hall. Will you be our new colleague? 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES In this work, you will, together with the work team, plan and carry out activities for students at the adapted upper secondary school. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with mentors/subject teachers and student welfare staff. You will participate in the classroom with the teaching teacher and, if necessary, carry out activities with individual students in smaller groups. We follow the students throughout the school day, we meet them in the morning when they arrive and ensure they get home with the right transportation after the school day ends. Together with the work team, you develop the activities and have good ability to collaborate with colleagues, school management and staff on other programs, as several of our students study either integrated or courses together with students on national programs. QUALIFICATIONS Completed upper secondary education, preferably the Children and Leisure program combined with experience. We are looking for someone with experience working in schools and meeting students in need of support. You have good ability to communicate with young people and to adapt your working method to the target group. Experience working with young people with disabilities is a merit. The adapted upper secondary school demonstrates great flexibility so that students, based on their abilities, can develop as far as possible according to the education's objectives. As a teaching assistant, you can adapt your working method according to students' needs and abilities. Several students use sign language as support and we would like you to master sign language or sign support. You appreciate independent work with good ability to handle a changing day-to-day situation. You actively contribute to security and an orderly environment inside and outside the classroom. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Type of employment: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-08-11 or by agreement.
