At Navestadsskolan, approximately 65 dedicated staff members contribute in various ways to good school days and education for our approximately 400 students in grades 4 through 9. We work in grade-level teams and subject-area teams organized by educational stage. The school has support teams that work in close dialogue with the teaching teams to strengthen the conditions for all students to develop both academically and socially. Navestadsskolan also has one of Norrköping Municipality's music classes from grade 4 through grade 9, where music and choir singing are part of the students' school days. We are also home to Norrköping's Hearing Track together with Silverdansen's preschool and school. This is an operation where Norrköping Municipality and Region Östergötland collaborate to create good conditions for students with hearing impairments. Your responsibilities You are responsible for the school's substitute teacher procurement, where you review absences each morning, coordinate the puzzle of who substitutes for which lesson, and book substitutes as needed. You are also the school's contact person for mother tongue instruction, which involves ordering mother tongue teachers and handling practical matters such as scheduling and rooms for mother tongue instruction. You will be one of the school's schedulers, which involves intensive work before a new school year as well as continuous work throughout the year. Responsibility for record-keeping in the filing system is part of this position, and other simple administrative tasks may occur, such as administrative matters related to students' and staff computers. You are part of the support team for grades 4-6 and plan and conduct recess activities as well as substitute when needed and possible during the day. Within the scope of your assignment, you work with freedom and organize your time for the various tasks so that it works well for the operation. You are supervised by the principal. Who are you? You have post-secondary education as a teaching assistant or equivalent. You have a strong work ethic, are stress-resilient, and flexible. You work well under pressure, are organized, and solve logistical situations with quality. You have experience working in a school and have good digital skills. You may also have experience with scheduling. You can independently take on challenging tasks but also enjoy working in a team. Your communication is clear and you build good relationships with both students and colleagues.
