In the heart of Skåne, in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by forest and water, lies Fogdaröd, a non-profit organization with a hundred-year tradition that has developed high-quality services to meet and support each individual in using and developing their resources. Fogdaröd has operated Karolinaskolan for over 25 years, a vocational agriculture high school with a horticulture focus, specially designed for young people with some form of neuropsychiatric disability, such as autism and ADHD. The school has up to 40 students in total and is built on a comprehensive solution that includes a boarding component. We are now seeking capable teaching assistants, and for the coming school year we would like to expand our team - we need a teaching assistant for the courses Machinery and Technical Equipment in Agriculture, Building Maintenance for Agriculture, and Facilities. Job Responsibilities As a teaching assistant, you will work during lessons with three students, where your role is to be a trusted adult who can guide our young people in their schoolwork. During breaks, you will be near the students with the responsibility of strengthening the school's sense of safety and community. We hope that you have experience driving and perhaps working with machinery, and possibly carpentry work. We are primarily looking for someone with a strong ability to build trusting relationships and to treat students with respect and clarity. The courses are scheduled in four longer lesson periods per week, on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, which makes this a part-time position of approximately 50%. The position is a fixed-term contract until April 2027, with the possibility of extension. This is a position with time off aligned with the school calendar. Start date as soon as possible. Qualifications Experience working with people, preferably young people. Strong ability to build trusting relationships and to treat students with respect and clarity. Ability to be calm, stable, and solution-oriented. Good teamwork skills and interest in working as part of a team. Meritorious but not required: education in pedagogy. Personal suitability is more important than formal qualifications. Driver's license required. Extract from criminal record and suspicion register will be requested.
