The unit for urban planning and cultural environment currently has 25 employees. You will work in close collaboration with our other cultural heritage professionals to oversee Norrbotten's cultural environments, archaeological remains, and cultural landscapes in accordance with applicable legislation and national and regional goals and strategies. You will work cross-sectorially on various societal issues with other departments at the authority. About the position We are looking for someone who wants to work as a regional antiquarian and who has solid experience with archaeological remains, archaeological investigations, building heritage issues, and cultural environments. As a regional antiquarian, you will support the Unit Manager in developing the County Administrative Board's work within the cultural heritage field. You will also lead the cultural heritage group's work on various issues involving balancing decisions in cases in consultation with the unit manager. The assignment includes representing cultural heritage issues in the region, both regionally and nationally. The ability to work strategically and cross-sectorially is crucial when driving and developing cultural heritage work. Certain case-handling tasks may be included in the work. About you We are looking for someone who has: A university or college degree relevant to the position in, for example, archaeology, building heritage issues, or cultural heritage matters Good knowledge of the Cultural Heritage Act as well as knowledge of relevant parts of the Environmental Code and the Planning and Building Act. Solid professional experience with archaeological, cultural landscape, and/or building heritage work. Broad experience working with assessing cultural historical values and the interplay with urban planning. A driver's license (category B). The County Administrative Board's role is largely collaborative in nature, and therefore you must have experience working with and the ability to engage and inspire both employees and various collaborative partners. Furthermore, you are a good communicator with ease in expressing yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing. You should have good collaboration and initiative skills, be clear and good at prioritizing, and have a structured working approach that leads to results within given timeframes. It is a merit if you have: Professional experience handling cases involving archaeological remains and cultural landscapes at a county administrative board, government agency, or other public sector organization. Professional experience developing knowledge bases, action programs, or investigations. Experience working as a leader/manager.
