The Oncology Clinic is in an expansion phase—we're building a team of resident physicians and planning additional recruitment. We're now seeking someone interested in active leadership, business development, and continuing to advance the physician group's development.
The Oncology Clinic is a regional clinic with primary operations at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna. We also have a physician clinic and outpatient treatment unit at Nyköpings lasarett.
At Mälarsjukhuset, we house the radiation therapy unit, medical treatment unit, and our inpatient ward, the Oncology Department. With all units co-located at the cancer center, we have excellent logistics for both patients and staff. The radiation therapy unit has 3 linear accelerators and a well-equipped target center with its own CT simulator. We conduct several clinical studies through the clinical research unit at our outpatient clinic. Your Responsibilities
You will serve as the first-line manager for the physician group, which includes personnel, development, and budget responsibility for the group. The management role is not full-time; the remaining portion of your position is as a specialist physician. There are good opportunities to tailor the arrangement based on your circumstances, and the exact time distribution will be agreed upon with the clinic director.
You will also participate in the clinic's management team and contribute to planning, leading, and developing the clinic in ways that benefit patients, operations, and staff.
As a newly appointed manager in Region Sörmland, you will be offered comprehensive orientation with fundamental knowledge in organization, governance, and the employer role. Continuing management training is offered following orientation. Region Sörmland also provides various leadership development programs.
Your Qualifications
We seek a licensed physician with a specialist certification in oncology.
Through demonstrating personal consideration, you easily foster engagement, build good relationships, and create collaboration both within and outside the organization. Personal suitability is given great weight.
Employment Form
Permanent position within the region with start date by agreement and time-limited appointment as physician unit director.
