The Department of Education is responsible for preschool, pedagogical care, after-school programs, pre-school class, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, continuing education as special education for adults, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), youth center, open preschool, and school of music. Preschool and after-school activities are located at all seven F-6 schools, with geographic distribution throughout the municipality. Altorpskolan, the municipality's only grades 7-9 school, welcomes students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. Kunskapskällan, the municipality's upper secondary school, is also located in Herrljunga. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES We are seeking a dedicated and confident primary school teacher for the elementary level. With us, you will become part of a team that together creates the best conditions for student learning and development. In this role, you will also have responsibilities related to specialized support in math and Swedish, where you work closely with students who need adaptations, guidance, and additional instruction. We view collaborative learning and effective teams as central to our work. The team works closely around students, shares planning, analyzes instruction, and drives joint development. You meet regularly for co-planning and pedagogical discussions. We work largely from a cooperative approach, which means you are a clear, confident, and present leader who actively creates participation, interaction, and collaboration in the classroom. You strive to give all students good opportunities to develop as far as possible based on their individual circumstances. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in accordance with applicable curriculum guidelines. You use both pedagogical skill and conscious leadership to create safety, structure, and an environment conducive to learning. You meet students with individualized instruction and with a positive, relationship-building approach. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who is a certified teacher with qualifications for grades 1-3. It is advantageous if you also have experience or qualifications in Swedish as a second language, as many of our students are multilingual. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment type: Fixed-term contract. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-10-05. This position is a parental leave replacement contract and is valid until 2027-06-17. There is a possibility that the position could eventually transition to a permanent contract. In Herrljunga municipality, full-time is the norm with the possibility of part-time work.
