Responsibilities
As Warehouse Manager at Forbo Flooring's Årsta depot, you have overall responsibility for the daily operations of the warehouse and retail store. The role is highly operational and you are expected to be present in the facility, lead work on-site, and contribute hands-on where needed. You function as a natural coordinator in daily operations, ensuring that workflows, staffing, and service run smoothly while creating structure, engagement, and a good work environment in the team. You lead and distribute daily work, support staff in both warehouse and retail, and play an important role in contact with customers, transporters, and internal functions. You are also responsible for personnel matters, workplace safety, and monitoring operations, as well as driving improvements and development initiatives at the depot.
Examples of responsibilities include:
• Lead, plan, and distribute daily work in warehouse and retail
• Personnel responsibility for the depot's employees
• Ensure efficient warehouse flows, inventory management, returns handling, and delivery quality
• Serve as contact person for customers, transporters, and internal functions in daily operations
• Responsibility for the depot's facilities, order, and continuous improvements to work methods and procedures
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone with:
• Upper secondary education
• At least two years of experience in personnel management, for example as a warehouse manager, supervisor, or team leader
• Experience with workplace safety and responsibility for a safe and well-functioning workplace
• Familiarity with business systems; experience with SAP is a plus
• Strong Swedish and English language skills, both spoken and written
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating counterbalance forklifts, reach stackers, and pallet jacks
As a person, you are engaged, confident, and unpretentious in your approach. You are responsible and secure in your decision-making and have a good understanding of people and the ability to adapt your leadership style to different individuals and situations. You communicate clearly, can set boundaries and create structure, but also have the judgment to prioritize and act with flexibility when the situation demands it.
You thrive in a smaller organization where you are given responsibility and are expected to be both operational and leadership-oriented in daily work.
