Do you want to be part of building a congregation and work with people of all ages? We welcome you to join us! Description The pastorate has a total of nine priests and eight church musicians. Your main workplace will be in the Hult-Edshult congregation, but some of your work will take place in other parts of the pastorate. The pastorate has several historically interesting and fine-sounding organs. In Hult and Edshult churches, there is each a beautiful gallery organ built by Sven Nordström in the 1800s, and in Hult church there is also a 2-manual organ in the choir built by Ålems organ builders in the 1990s. In Hult, the school is located next to the church and the parish hall in an idyllic setting, which provides great opportunities to develop children's choir activities. Job Responsibilities Play at services, church ceremonies, and other congregation activities. Lead choir activities for children and adults. Together with the cantor in Höreda-Mellby, plan and conduct summer music and other concert activities. Be a resource in confirmation instruction work. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: has a church music degree with C-level certification. has broad church music knowledge, is well-versed in the worship life of the Church of Sweden, and is positive toward ecumenism. values the local context and wants to be part of and develop music and congregation life with us. is a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with a small team. has a driver's license and access to a car. is positive, outgoing, and feels comfortable with both large groups and one-on-one meetings. wants to plan and participate in the pastorate's work and see it from a holistic perspective. is passionate about sharing the Christian faith and is a member of the Church of Sweden. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Upon employment, you will need to provide a criminal record check intended for work with children and young people. This is a permanent full-time position (100%) involving day, evening, and weekend services. Start date by agreement. We are a pastorate with seven congregations in Eksjö municipality and a small part of Nässjö municipality. In our congregations there are twelve churches, three chapels, twelve cemeteries, and two preschools. We have approximately 12,300 church members and 80 employees.
