Quartermaster to Battalion Staff

Do you want to work with logistics and take overarching responsibility in a battalion? The Hospital Battalion is now seeking a quartermaster for the battalion staff in preparation for upcoming growth. About the Hospital Battalion The unit is growing and after the turn of the year 2026/2027, the focus is for positions to increase in number to be able to support operations directed toward either field operations or basic training. The battalion staff leads, plans, and coordinates operations and creates the conditions for the battalion's operational capability. The Hospital Battalion today is the Swedish Armed Forces' medical support unit with the mission to establish and operate medical resources in support of national and international operations. Main Responsibilities As quartermaster, you are part of the battalion staff and responsible for planning, coordination, and monitoring of the battalion's logistics. The work is conducted in close collaboration with other staff functions and subordinate units. - Plan and lead the battalion's logistics service. - Coordinate supply of material, ammunition, fuel, and other provisions. - Manage logistics situation picture and logistics monitoring. - Collaborate with higher and subordinate staffs and external actors. - Participate in exercises, training, and operations. - Contribute to development of the battalion's logistical capability and procedures. - Perform administrative work in PRIO and LIFT. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications - Approved officer degree or specialist officer degree. - Trained logistics officer within the Swedish Armed Forces. - Swedish citizen. - Driver's license class B. - Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. - Good physical ability according to Swedish Armed Forces requirements. Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is structured, takes responsibility, and has good analytical ability. You work independently but also thrive in collaboration with others. You are communicative, solution-oriented, and have the ability to prioritize during sometimes high work tempo. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. MERITORIOUS - Officer degree or specialist officer degree with a focus on logistics. - Experience as quartermaster. - Experience in planning or staff service. - Knowledge of using systems PRIO and LIFT. - Experience in logistics planning in exercise or operational activities. - Military driving license.
