Quality Development Officer for the Department of Children and Education

We are now seeking a quality development officer who wants to be a key person in the work of strengthening quality within our preschools and schools. As a quality development officer, you will be placed in the Department of Children and Education's management office and work directly under the department head's direction. You will be part of the department's management group and have a central role in developing, coordinating, and following up on systematic quality work within the department. The position involves close collaboration with principals, managers, political leadership, and other functions within the municipality. You will serve as qualified support in development and quality matters and help translate national and municipal goals into concrete operational development. Work Tasks In your role as a quality development officer, you will, among other things: Coordinate, develop, and follow up on systematic quality work within preschool and school. Support principals and managers in analysis, follow-up, and development work. Prepare materials, analyses, reports, and decision-making documents for management and board. Drive and coordinate the department's work based on school legislation and curricula. Develop and quality-assure routines, working methods, and processes. Responsible for follow-up of results, statistics, and key performance indicators and translate these into development initiatives. Coordinate the work with government grants, including applications, follow-up, and reporting. Conduct investigations, remittance responses, and other qualified written work. Variety of different administrative tasks. The position offers a combination of strategic development work, analysis, and operations-focused support. Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant higher education, preferably in the fields of education and pedagogy or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have experience in: Quality and development work. Follow-up, analysis, and operational development. Work in politically governed organizations or public sector operations. Project management or process management. Preparation of reports, investigations, and decision-making documents. It is meritorious if you have: Experience from school or educational operations. Knowledge of school legislation and systematic quality work. Good knowledge in statistics, analysis, and digital tools. Within the framework of the national minority language act, Gällivare Municipality is an administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality. To succeed in this role, you are an analytical, structured, and development-oriented person who is driven by creating improvements and developing operations. You work independently and take your own initiatives while having an easy time collaborating with others and creating engagement, participation, and good relationships. You have a strategic approach and a good ability to see the bigger picture, analyze needs, and translate them into concrete solutions.
