The Quality Unit at the Swedish Maritime Administration is seeking a Quality Coordinator, and we need you now to contribute to developing and improving the Swedish Maritime Administration's work methods. The Quality Unit is part of the Finance Department, and we are responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with the Swedish Maritime Administration's models for quality and environmental management, maintaining management systems, ISO certifications for standards ISO 9001 and 14001, internal quality audits, process management, systematic improvement work, and internal governance and control.
We provide support to operations in managing quality, developing, monitoring, and improving their delivery to achieve their goals.
Job Responsibilities
As a Quality Coordinator, you will work with quality issues such as developing and managing quality management systems, planning and conducting quality and environmental audits, and leading process/value stream and improvement work at the tactical and operational level, in close collaboration with operations.
Your work will include:
Participating in the management and development of the ISO 9001/14001-certified part of the Swedish Maritime Administration's management system.
Assisting in planning, conducting, and following up on internal and external quality audits. Team leader for internal quality and environmental audit teams
Leading improvement initiatives and development of processes and value streams in both support and core operations.
Supporting and training operations in improvement work.
Supporting and guiding operations and management in quality matters broadly.
Participating in work with internal governance and control
You will work with colleagues who have great drive and commitment to quality.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with an academic degree, at least a three-year economist or engineer degree, preferably with a focus on quality management. You should have completed training in the ISO 9001 standard and have good knowledge of ISO 14001. Additional requirements include experience working with and developing quality management systems and conducting quality audits. We also want you to have several years of current practical and documented experience leading systematic improvement work in a larger organization, knowledge of improvement methods and quality tools, and have conducted value stream analyses and process development work.
You must also have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, and possess good skills in working with IT tools and programs, such as the MS Office suite. A Class B driver's license is required.
It is meritorious if you have training in ISO 14001 as well as documented experience with improvement methodologies, operational development, and certification in LEAN and Six Sigma.
We would like to see experience with internal governance and control, digitizing flows, processes, and work tasks.

This recruitment is for a permanent position expected to be filled as soon as possible.
Interviews will be held during weeks 36-37.
The Swedish Maritime Administration may apply a six-month probationary period.
The position may involve wartime placement at the Swedish Maritime Administration.
The position may require Swedish citizenship. A security clearance with a background check may be conducted before an offer of employment.
