Do you want to work close to production and help ensure high quality in technically advanced products?
We are now looking for a Quality Engineer for a manufacturing operation focused on electronics and electrical assembly. The role is operations-focused and involves close collaboration with operators, assemblers, production technicians, and other support functions.
About the role
As a Quality Engineer, you are an important part of the daily quality work in production. You help the operation identify, analyze, and address quality-related issues while contributing to long-term improvements in processes and work methods.
The emphasis is on deviation management and root cause analysis, which means you will often be close to production to understand the root cause of problems and ensure effective corrective actions.
You also serve as a support to production on quality matters and contribute expertise in areas such as electronics assembly, quality requirements, and industry standards. This is a long-term assignment where you will be employed by Consensus but work on-site at one of our customers.
Examples of work tasks
In this role, you will, among other things:
Manage and follow up on deviations in production
Conduct root cause analyses and drive corrective and preventive actions
Support production in day-to-day quality matters
Perform quality inspections of products, processes, and work methods
Participate in process qualification and validation
Conduct product and process audits
Contribute to work with new products and production changes
Conduct training and support colleagues in quality-related matters
You will also monitor quality results, analyze trends, and help the operation continuously develop its processes and work methods.
Who you are
You are driven by understanding why problems occur and are not satisfied with just addressing the symptoms. With a methodical approach, you tackle challenges, identify root causes, and ensure sustainable solutions are implemented.
At the same time, you are someone who thrives in collaboration with others. You build trust easily in the production environment and appreciate working in an environment where quality, technology, and continuous improvement are in focus.
We are looking for someone with:
Experience in deviation management and quality investigations
Knowledge of root cause analysis and improvement work
Experience in quality work within electronics production and good understanding of IPC standards
Good technical understanding
Ability to communicate and collaborate with different functions
