About the position
As Quality Manager at Mobergarna, you have a broad role where you are responsible for the company's quality and environmental work. You are responsible for:
- Operation and maintenance of the quality management system
- Hygiene issues and pest control
- Risk analyses and approval of raw materials and chemicals
- Control and approval of suppliers, for example through supplier assessments in collaboration with purchasing
- Customer and consumer complaints
- Deviation management
- Product information/ingredients, packaging approval, and nutritional content
- Contact person with authorities regarding quality and environment
- Responsible for cleaning controls and allergen testing
- Responsible for internal training and new employee training in BRC and other standards, hygiene, HACCP, and quality
You also have delegated responsibility for the Work Environment, which means you are responsible for ensuring that applicable legislation is upheld. This also means you are responsible for Work Environment meetings, safety inspections, LIA system, and Mobergarna's Work Environment Handbook.
The position is a permanent employment located in Smedby.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has worked several years with quality and environment and now feels ready to take a step towards a role with greater responsibility.
Mobergarna AB is certified according to the Food Safety Standard BRC (Global Standard Food Safety). Certification also includes palm oil (RSPO) and cocoa (Rainforest Alliance).
We see it as positive if you have experience in the food industry or similar. If you have education in quality and environment, it is meritorious, but not required.
Education and experience aside, your personality is the most important to us. You should be a flexible person with great drive and the ability to work independently. You collaborate with all departments in the company, so you need to have good teamwork skills, be good at working in a structured manner, and not be afraid to put in extra effort when needed. Since Mobergarna is a small company, you should be prepared for your tasks to vary and sometimes you may need to help out in other departments.
You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English. It is advantageous if you have an interest in IT.
You sit in the management group and report directly to the CEO.
About the employer
Mobergarna was founded in 1948 in Gothenburg. In the 1960s, the company moved to Öland and was then focused on the production of meringues. In the late 1990s, they also began baking traditional small cakes, and in connection with this, two renowned cake bakeries were acquired, which brought much expertise and tradition to our products.
Over time, the idea grew to streamline our production for the growing market of EMV products. We moved to our current premises about 26 years ago. Today we primarily produce under other brands, where meringues continue to be one of our largest products. We are part of the Belvens Bakeries group, together with Delicato and others.
Mobergarna is today located just outside Kalmar.
