Governmental Accounting, Financing, and Analysis
As a qualified accounting economist at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you will have a central role in the agency's financial operations. We in the Accounting department are responsible for, among other things, the closing process and financial reporting, including reporting to the national accounts. We work to develop the agency's external and internal accounting and ensure that the agency applies government accounting principles correctly. In addition to ongoing accounting, providing advice and establishing standards in financing and accounting matters is a major part of the assignment.
In your role within the Accounting department, you will work with both ongoing accounting and more development-oriented issues within the accounting field. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the items included in monthly and annual closing procedures as well as reporting to the national accounts. You will contribute to developing and maintaining models for internal accounting and cost allocation for operations, and support the organization in financing matters.
As an accounting expert, you will work closely with the Business Management department and its financial and business controllers.
Your responsibilities include:
Working with ongoing and qualified accounting tasks and participating in closing procedures
Developing and being responsible for guidelines and standards within your area of responsibility
Providing consultative support on accounting matters to managers and operations
Analyzing the consequences of different financing forms and operational changes
Participating in and driving the development and improvement of financial processes and internal procedures.
This position involves handling classified information, which requires high standards for proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have strong security awareness.

We are looking for you who
have an academic degree or experience/qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
have at least 5 years of experience with qualified accounting work, including experience with monthly and annual closing procedures at a central level in a large organization or government agency
have a systematic and thorough working approach
act on your own initiative and take responsibility for achieving good results
can understand and analyze complex matters
have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
It is advantageous if you
have experience working in a government agency
have experience working with multi-financed operations
have experience with internal accounting and cost allocation
have experience with financial management at the agency-wide level.

Other Information
1 position, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be relevant. The possibility of remote work exists if the work permits. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Psychometric tests may be used as part of the selection process.
