About the assignment We are looking for someone with solid knowledge of silversmithing who wants to share your craft in a joyful and pedagogical way. As a course instructor, you are responsible for planning and conducting silversmithing courses with us at Medborgarskolan. You lead groups in a safe and clear manner and create an environment where participants dare to try, ask questions, and develop at their own pace. Courses are held at Medborgarskolan in Falkenberg. The exact format, times, and course content are planned together with you as the course instructor. The assignment includes, among other things: - plan course structure, topics, and exercises - lead practical course sessions in small groups - guide participants individually and in groups - contribute to good order, work environment, and safety during course sessions - keep attendance records and maintain dialogue with the responsible activity developer Who we are looking for We are looking for someone with both craft skills and an interest in people and learning. You don't need to be a teacher by training, but you should enjoy meeting people, explaining, and showing practically how things are done. We would like it if you: - have extensive experience in silversmithing - are confident in basic techniques and workshop work - have experience working safely with tools, materials, and equipment - are pedagogical, attentive, and organized - can adapt teaching for adult beginners with varying prior knowledge - communicate clearly in Swedish Previous experience in teaching courses, workshops, or mentoring others is a merit, but the most important thing is that you have solid subject knowledge and want to share it in a safe and inspiring way. Employment and scope This is a compensated course instructor assignment through project-based employment. This means the employment is linked to the courses that start and the hours the course encompasses. The assignment is not a full-time or part-time position with fixed hours, but works best as extra work alongside other activities. Courses start when we have a completed format and sufficient participant enrollment. The scope may therefore vary over time.
