The Assignment Our course program offers day and evening courses as well as longer educational programs and lectures in areas such as languages, economics, communication, writing, health, and sustainable development in languages from around the world. We are also a test center for IELTS and Swedex. Our courses are designed for private individuals as well as corporate clients and the public sector, and teaching is characterized by a communicative approach to language. We offer courses at all levels during daytime year-round and in the evenings January-June and September-December. The position as a Finnish instructor includes 1 evening per week starting from the fall term 2026. Your Competence and Background We are looking for someone with very good knowledge of the Finnish language and an interest in cultural and societal issues concerning Finland. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish. It is advantageous if you have training and experience teaching adults or other experience leading groups. As an educator at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor instruction to individual students and bring out each individual's potential.
