About the Open Position Do you want to make a difference for our young patients with eating disorders? We are expanding our treatment services for patients under 18 years of age who need eating disorder care. We have received funding to establish a family day care program in fall 2026. As a curator at the Eating Disorders Psychiatry Clinic, you will be part of our children's team. The clinic serves patients across age groups and treats people with eating disorders regardless of age. Staff members are divided into a children's team and an adult team, but we collaborate and support each other throughout the clinic. The children's team currently includes a nurse, a pediatric care assistant, two curators, a psychologist, and a physician. The existing children's team will be expanded with two positions, this curator position and an additional nursing position. We also have access to a dietitian who works in the adult team. Your main focus will be patients under 18 years of age who need day care for their eating disorder issues. Day care is intended to serve as a bridge between outpatient and inpatient care, when outpatient treatment is not sufficient and patients need extended support without hospitalization. This is independent work with team support. Our patients under 18 years old receive treatment using the FBT (Family-Based Therapy) method. You will be responsible for your own patients as their primary contact and provide treatment based on this evidence-based method. You will work individually with patients and their families in treatment, and also collaborate with other organizations such as municipalities, schools, and the Social Insurance Agency. About Us The psychiatry department at Södra Älvsborgs Hospital consists of several outpatient clinics, acute care units, and inpatient care. The Eating Disorders Psychiatry Clinic is an outpatient clinic located in Borås with the primary mission of serving patients, both adults and children, with eating disorder issues. The clinic has approximately eighteen employees. Work is characterized by collaboration in an interdisciplinary team including dietitian, physiotherapist, physician, secretary, nurses, care assistants, social worker, psychologist, psychotherapist, and unit manager. The team consistently demonstrates high competence, with several being specialists and having many years of experience. The group is characterized by collegial support, commitment to work tasks, ambition to develop and grow, and humor. Your Profile We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work. It is an advantage if you hold a license as a healthcare social worker. It is also an advantage if you have experience working with mental health issues of various kinds. We appreciate if you have further education in CBT and/or other psychotherapy training. It is also an asset if you have studied further education in eating disorder care and have expertise in FBT.
