The Oncology Clinic is part of the Center for Surgery, Orthopedics and Cancer Care, CKOC. Here we provide highly specialized care with a focus on treatment and follow-up of patients with various cancer diseases. Treatment is provided in the form of chemotherapy and immunotherapy at the clinic's outpatient unit, where the patient is at the center and care is characterized by high quality and continuity. Job Description With us, you will meet patients and loved ones in life-changing situations, where as a curator you have an important role in identifying, assessing and meeting the patient's psychosocial needs. You work in close collaboration with the clinic's multidisciplinary team and contribute to person-centered and holistic care. You work in both inpatient and outpatient care. Your work tasks include, among other things: Supportive and processing conversations Crisis conversations Support to loved ones Collaboration with care staff, authorities and other healthcare providers Advice and guidance on society-related issues Participation in development and quality and improvement work We actively work with digital solutions to develop and facilitate patient interactions and would be pleased if you have an interest in contributing to the continued development of digital working methods. Work Group You will be part of the paramedical unit, which consists of four healthcare curators, three physiotherapists, two dietitians and one occupational therapist. In the role, you also work closely with other curators within the operations in the O-building as well as within CKOC through regular professional meetings and collegial exchange of experience. You are also an important part of multidisciplinary teams together with physicians, nurses and nursing assistants, where you collectively work to provide patients with safe, cohesive and quality care. You will serve the clinic's Treatment Clinic, Radiation Therapy, General Clinic, and Care Ward. The clinic also includes the Clinical Trial Unit (KPE), Follow-up Clinic for Adults who have had Childhood Cancer (UFM), Team Young for patients aged 18-30 undergoing cancer treatment, and the care administrative unit. About You We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker, preferably licensed healthcare curator, with a few years of experience in the profession. You need to be able to work independently and be able to plan, organize and prioritize in your daily work. The work is varied and includes both planned and urgent interventions, which requires confidence in your professional role and the ability to be flexible in collaboration with different professional groups and in meeting patients and relatives. Since the work also takes place in multidisciplinary teams, the work also requires good ability to collaborate and communicate.
