We are now seeking a new team member to strengthen our team - to further develop and reinforce our work in suicide prevention! Do you want to work close to people in vulnerable situations while contributing with support that truly makes a difference? Do you thrive in a role with independence, variety, and short, meaningful care contacts? Then this might be the position for you. Mobile Resources Suicide Prevention is a regional specialist resource within the Unit for Psychiatric Care Collaboration. The team is based at USÖ and consists of five employees with a shared focus: to offer qualified support, create security, and contribute to the development of suicide prevention work in the region. The team works according to three assignments: Meet individuals who have attempted suicide and support them and their loved ones. Support for bereaved individuals after completed suicide. Educate and mentor on suicide. Work Tasks As an employee in Mobile Resources Suicide Prevention, you will have an independent and responsible role with great scope to plan and carry out your interventions based on the individual's needs. The first contact with the patient takes place within 48 hours of activation. Subsequent follow-up is then planned together with the patient and, when relevant, also with close ones. Follow-up can take place via phone, digital visits, home visits, clinic visits, or at another agreed location. Bereavement support is usually initiated by the bereaved themselves, but can also be activated through healthcare or emergency personnel. Education initiatives are planned on a term-by-term basis and priorities are made continuously based on the activities' needs. The team's work is characterized by flexibility, responsiveness, and adaptation based on the needs of patients, bereaved individuals, and organizations requesting education. An important part of the assignment is to collaborate with the various units of psychiatry, other parts of the region, municipalities, and other healthcare providers in the region. To thrive in the team, you need to feel comfortable with independent work, supportive conversations, and assessments in complex situations. You are flexible, solution-focused, and have the ability to adapt with short notice. Good knowledge of psychiatry's organization, contact channels, and collaboration with other actors is a great asset in the role. We offer varied, meaningful, and independent work where no two days are alike. You will have the opportunity to influence the structure of your work days within the scope of the assignment and become part of a team with strong cohesion, where collegial support and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has other academic education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience with supportive and therapeutic conversations, preferably within psychiatry, crisis work, or suicide prevention. The role suits you if you want to work independently with people in difficult life situations, while also contributing to collaboration, education, and development in an activity with great societal value. Experience with collaboration with healthcare neighbors, municipalities, and other actors is meritorious. The work is complex and places high demands on flexibility, personal maturity, responsibility-taking, and confidence in meeting people in severe crisis. You also need to feel comfortable in the role as educator and lecturer. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A Class B driver's license is required, as the work is often carried out outside of USÖ. Application Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis. The application should contain a CV and personal letter. Certificates, grades, diplomas, and more should be submitted at a possible interview.
