About Us Academic Specialist Center is a facility within Stockholm County Healthcare for patients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, rheumatic diseases, and obesity, together with a research unit for clinical studies. Job Responsibilities As a curator with us, you will provide qualified psychosocial support throughout the patient's care and rehabilitation journey. You will plan individual support conversations with patients and relatives during crisis reactions and adaptation to changed life circumstances. You will guide our patients and inform them about societal support services and insurance medicine (e.g., the Swedish Social Insurance Agency). You are part of the team where you collaborate with colleagues such as doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other curators, as well as external parties such as the Social Insurance Agency, employers, social services, and others. You will participate in and develop the clinic's psychosocial work and procedures. You will contribute to the MS School to share expertise on how to manage lifestyle changes, crisis reactions, and what support is available. Qualifications We are looking for you: with a degree in social work with experience working in neurology We consider it a merit if you have: registration as a healthcare and social work curator psychotherapy training Personal Qualities: You will work independently but also in a team, so we place great emphasis on flexibility, responsiveness, and good teamwork ability. We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, stable, and has a strong ability to meet people in crisis. The work involves periods of high work pace, so you need to be stress-resilient, able to prioritize, and adapt your work with the patient in focus. For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Healthcare: - a criminal record check is applied before employment decision according to SLSO's general guidelines for criminal record checks in hiring. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment. - in addition to Swedish professional credentials, good knowledge of Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required.
