The Education Department is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary school, after-school programs, gymnasium, and adult education. At Arlanda Gymnasium, approximately 1300 students study. We offer 11 upper secondary programs, both college preparatory programs and vocational programs. The school has one of the few aviation technology programs in Sweden as well as national and local sports programs in handball, football, floorball, ice hockey, and e-sports. Arlanda Gymnasium also offers introductory programs, which are tailored for students who lack the qualifications to pursue a national program, as well as adapted upper secondary school, which is a four-year voluntary education for young people with intellectual disabilities. Our annual evaluations show that students and staff are very satisfied at our school. Skilled teachers and the gymnasium's bright and airy facilities are contributing factors to this. And not least the positive climate that exists among the students. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a school counselor, you will be part of the school's student support team. The student support team works actively in various forums to promote, prevent, and support student development and the school as an organization. This means that student support always strives to enable the best possible learning situation for the student within the team's combined competence. You will also have the counselors at the other two school units as close colleagues at the same workplace. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. It is meritorious if you have experience working as a school counselor and knowledge of the Prorenata journal system and working methods such as student support meetings (EHM) and Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP). You are an organized person who works according to clear processes, organizes and plans your work well, completes what you have started, and meets deadlines. You are stable and confident, handle stress constructively, and maintain a good attitude even under pressure and setbacks. You stand firm in uncertain situations, dare to speak up, and have the ability to distinguish between the issue and the person. We value that you are relationship-building and take initiative in social settings, have an easy time making new contacts, and collaborate unpretentiously with a focus on common goals.
