Workplace Description Kungsholmen Primary School is a grades F-9 school with approximately 1,200 students and includes primary school, adapted primary school, afterschool care, and youth club. Work teams are organized into grades F-3, 4-6, 7-9, and adapted primary school. School leadership consists of a principal, assistant principals, and an administrative director. For every student, regardless of their background, to develop and progress as far as possible in their learning, knowledge, learning, and safety are crucial to achieving success. Job Description As an afterschool care teacher in adapted primary school, you contribute to making daily school life run smoothly and ensure that afterschool care activities and daily educational work are based on students' conditions and needs. You will collaborate with classroom teachers and resources, and lead activities at the afterschool care facility and at KTT. You will plan and implement activities, conduct adapted programming based on both individual and group needs and conditions, and actively work with good treatment and equal value for all so that everyone experiences wellbeing in our programs. Together with your colleagues, you will work toward a trusting, open, and respectful partnership with families. In your role as an afterschool care teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring that instruction is designed in accordance with school law, curriculum, and other national and municipal regulatory documents. Qualifications We seek a certified afterschool care teacher with a focus on music. You need previous experience working with students studying subject areas in adapted primary school and populations covered by the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities). Planning, implementing, evaluating, and following up on programming based on goals and guidelines should be second nature to you. You should contribute to creating meaningful activities, apply flexible working methods, and adapt the learning environment. You should have a democratic and empathetic approach where teaching combined with care stimulates student learning. We expect you to have high professionalism with a great sense of humor and experience leading both small and large student groups. You contribute to a developmental collaboration with colleagues and guardians. You are confident, stable, possess good self-awareness, and adapt your approach depending on the situation. You appreciate working toward goals and focus on continuous improvement of the program and your own professional practice. You have strong collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and guardians. You have strong ability to listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. You are organized, planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently. Since the role includes written documentation and verbal communication, it is a requirement that you express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
