Cultural Events Organizer

Ventspils novada pašvaldība (reg. No. 90000052035) invites a permanent employee for the position of Cultural Events Organizer at Popes Cultural Center (profession code 3435 20) (for work in Popes and Tārgale parishes) Requirements: • Short-cycle professional higher education or professional secondary education in culture or social sciences, or completion of a licensed professional development program in the culture field; • Excellent knowledge of Latvian language; • Understanding of the basic principles of cultural event planning, organization, and implementation; • Good skills in working with information and communication technologies; • High level of communication culture, organizational skills, and abilities; • Good communication and collaboration skills; • Desirable experience in organizing cultural events or implementing cultural projects; • Desirable Category B driver's license. Main job duties: • Participate in developing work plans for cultural events in Popes and Tārgale parishes, participate in organizing cultural events by evaluating priorities, public interests, and needs in the culture field; • Participate in coordinating and organizing cultural activities in both parishes; • Be familiar with the implementation of state cultural policy in Ventspils novads and parishes; • Provide methodological assistance to hobby clubs, amateur collectives' leaders, and participants on cultural matters; • Assist in organizing participation of amateur arts collectives from Popes and Tārgale parishes in regional and national events and competitions; • Collaborate with senior associations and other partners to implement cultural projects and events in accordance with seniors' interests; • Organize activities to promote accessibility of cultural life to seniors in the parishes, thereby ensuring their social integration, maintaining quality of life, and promoting a sense of belonging to the local community; • Collaborate with mass media to inform the public about events and activities in Popes and Tārgale parishes; • Monitor changes in legislation related to the culture field and apply them in work practice; • Participate in creative projects related to the culture field to attract funding. We offer: • Employment contract for an indefinite period; • Part-time work with 20 hours per week; • Monthly salary 510.00 EUR (before tax payment); • Professional development and training opportunities.
