About the job As an enforcement officer, you primarily work with investigating assets and making decisions about appropriate enforcement measures. You have an impartial role and help those who want to receive payment while providing support and advice to those who need to pay. You begin your employment as a trainee and after successful completion of training and practical experience, you receive the title of enforcement officer. The training, lasting approximately one to two years, includes law, communication skills, and conversation techniques, among other subjects. The work tasks vary in scope and complexity. The cases you handle require speed and efficiency while maintaining quality. Based on laws and regulations, you assess the information and make decisions. You work both in and outside the office, where you investigate debtors' assets and carry out evictions, for example. Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your work tasks include identifying and preventing attempted criminal activity and notifying other authorities about suspected crimes. As an enforcement officer, you might discover various types of criminal activity while conducting enforcement actions and participating in joint efforts with other authorities. This can result in you helping to stop money laundering and prevent organized crime. The position is based in Helsingborg. The role includes work throughout the service area, which means regular travel to other locations, including Lomma, Perstorp, and Klippan. Your qualifications: - University or higher education degree with at least 180 credits (120 points under the old system) in law, economics, social sciences, or equivalent higher education - Category B driving license - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in decision-making within government authority. Good to know The position is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as an Enforcement Officer Trainee. The Enforcement Authority offers the opportunity to work remotely by agreement with the employer. Working in the public sector means you follow the government values framework. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We will ask questions at the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions will also be asked to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcies, and business bans. Any information obtained will be weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security clearance with background check under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
