About the job
As an enforcement officer, you work within one or several of the Enforcement Agency's operational areas: summary proceedings, enforcement, debt adjustment, and supervision in bankruptcy/reconstruction. You are responsible for the legal quality in case management. Your work spans multiple areas of law, primarily insolvency law, enforcement law, property law, and summary proceedings.
Within summary proceedings, you make qualified legal assessments in cases involving payment orders, ordinary assistance, and special assistance.
Within enforcement, you are an integral part of the authority's exercise in enforcement measures and are responsible for executive property and tenant-owned apartment sales.
Within debt adjustment, you investigate the conditions for debt adjustment in review and objection cases and make decisions in complex matters.
Within bankruptcy supervision, you monitor that bankruptcy administration is conducted correctly and are available to administrators when difficult questions arise. You also work with supervision of business restructurers.
You also provide daily legal support to other colleagues, conduct trainings, perform legal investigations, make decisions, respond to referrals, and write statements to courts. Your role also includes representing the authority in various contexts and answering questions from the public and parties.
You will undergo internal training for approximately one year. In the training, you will combine theory with practice and apply law within our different operations. There is both the opportunity and expectation that you will work in different operational departments over time.
Everyone who works at the Enforcement Agency contributes to work against crime. Your work tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As an enforcement officer/candidate, you can, for example, counter various types of crime by providing legal support to enforcement inspectors and case handlers. This can result in you helping prevent welfare crimes.
Possible placement locations are Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Uddevalla, and Visby.

Your qualifications:
- Nordic law degree
- Completed Swedish notary training
- Swedish citizenship
- Driver's license for manual transmission vehicle
It is desirable that you have two years of current work experience in qualified legal work from a law firm, court, or authority in a decision-making role after completing your notary service.

Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You start as an enforcement officer candidate and after completing your training, you will receive the title of enforcement officer. The Enforcement Agency offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
The position may involve travel.
Working for the state means you follow the state's value foundation. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during interviews about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked of references. We also gather information about debts registered with the Enforcement Agency, bankruptcy, and business bans. Information provided will be considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security clearance with record check under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision is made.
