About the job As an enforcement officer, you work within one or more of the Enforcement Agency's areas of activity: summary proceedings, enforcement, debt relief, and supervision in bankruptcy/restructuring. You are responsible for the legal quality in case handling. Your work spans multiple areas of law, primarily insolvency law, execution law, property law, and summary proceedings. Within summary proceedings, you make qualified legal assessments in cases concerning payment orders, ordinary assistance, and special assistance. Within enforcement, you are an integral part of governmental authority in enforcement measures and are responsible for executive property and housing rights sales. Within debt relief, you investigate the conditions for debt relief in review and objection cases and make decisions in complex matters. Within bankruptcy supervision, you oversee that bankruptcy administration is conducted correctly and are available to administrators when difficult questions arise. You also work with supervision of corporate restructurers. You also provide daily legal support to other colleagues, conduct training, perform legal investigations, make decisions, respond to inquiries, and write statements to courts. The role also includes representing the agency in various contexts and answering questions from the public and parties. You will undergo internal training for approximately one year. In the training, you will alternate theory with practice and apply the law within our various operations. There is both opportunity and expectation to work in different operational departments over time. Everyone working at the Enforcement Agency contributes to work against crime. Your work tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at crime and notifying other authorities about suspected crimes. As an enforcement officer/trainee, you can, for example, counteract various types of crime by providing legal support to enforcement inspectors and case handlers. This can result in you helping to prevent welfare fraud. Possible placement locations are Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Uddevalla, and Visby. Your qualifications: - Nordic law degree - Completed Swedish notary apprenticeship - Swedish citizenship - Driver's license for a car with manual transmission It is desirable that you have two years of current professional experience in qualified legal work from a law firm, court, or authority in a decision-making role after completing notary apprenticeship. Good to know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You start your employment as an enforcement officer trainee and after completing the training you will receive the title enforcement officer. The Enforcement Agency offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. This employment requires Swedish citizenship. The position may include travel. Working in the state means you follow the state value base. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security thinking, and adherence to applicable laws. We ask questions at the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to reference persons. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Agency, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. Information obtained will be considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the current employment. An employment with us may involve placement in a security classification.
