About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking additional staff. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, detention centers, and prisoner transport.
Job Description
You will be part of the team working closest with clients – you lock and unlock doors, escort clients to various activities, and ensure that daily operations run smoothly, always with a focus on security. You will receive two weeks of paid introduction. You will work days, evenings, and weekends.
This is a temporary position lasting 1 year.
Qualifications
Malmö Detention Center is one of Sweden's Security Detention Centers, which places high demands on strong security awareness and many established procedures to follow.
We therefore place great importance on your personal suitability. You are reliable, stable, possess good self-awareness, sound judgment, and integrity. You enjoy working with others and communicate clearly. You can also act physically when required. You share our belief that people can develop and change.
We are looking for someone who has:
Complete upper secondary education or equivalent training combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant
Work experience (Internships and volunteer work are not considered equivalent to employment)
Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
Good computer skills
It is also meritorious to have:
Work experience from correctional services, security work, service work, psychiatry, or health and care work
Ability to communicate in languages other than Swedish
Interviews and selection will be conducted on an ongoing basis
