About the Role
Do you want to make a real difference in helping Sweden succeed with the energy transition and achieve climate goals? We will be making major investments in our grid and are now seeking Electrical Power Engineers with expertise in control systems for our projects.
We are in a historic transition and facing extensive electrification of society. One way we are doing this is by expanding the investments we make in our electricity network. To accomplish this, we need more engaged employees in the Facility Investment unit who work on our investment projects in local and regional networks.
About the Role
As a Power System Specialist in Control Systems with us, we promise that you will be challenged with exciting and complex questions. The Project Engineering Department is responsible for ensuring technical content in planning and implementation of facility investments and delivers specialized technical expertise to the operations. With technology in focus, we are involved in developing practical solutions to technical challenges in operations, development, and facility construction.
Your main responsibility will be to provide specialized expertise to the investment operations, which means acting as a technical resource in our projects. Your work tasks include:
Ensuring the quality of new facilities and that facility design is optimal.
Participating in bid evaluations regarding the station's technical functions.
Reviewing technical design and controlling design during factory testing.
Serving as responsible representative during commissioning testing and startup, and ensuring that the facility meets the requirements of the technical specification and Vattenfall's Technical Guidelines.
Collaborating with other departments within the Facility Investment unit.
Travel to nearby projects occurs, as well as occasional travel abroad.
Requirements Specification
We are looking for you who thrives in a role where you can use your analytical abilities and collaborate with others. You are driven by curiosity and want to continually learn more about technology and how technology can be used in the best way to provide good technical support in projects.
Qualifications
You have:
An engineering degree in electrical power engineering or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
Worked with a variety of electrical power issues and are familiar with the structure and function of the power grid, preferably with a focus on disconnection and control system equipment.
Easy communication skills in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
Class B driver's license.
It is a merit if you have experience with:
Testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of switchgear equipment such as primary apparatus and control systems.
