About the Role
In this position, you'll work with analysis and modeling of the power system to study frequency stability and balancing in various operational situations. Based on these analyses, you'll contribute to the development and management of technical requirements for support services and remedial actions for a stable electricity system. Within the unit, we work on both frequency and balancing issues, with your focus adapted to your expertise and needs.
The work also includes development and application of network codes and European regulations, as well as collaboration with other TSOs. The role is varied and combines independent work with cross-functional collaboration, including participation in and leadership of Nordic and European cooperation forums and working groups.
You'll work in a technically advanced and rapidly evolving environment where development moves fast and issues are complex. Through your work, you'll directly contribute to ensuring frequency stability to support a reliable power system, which is crucial for society as a whole. The role offers the opportunity to influence the development of the electricity system and play a central role in enabling society's electrification and transition to a sustainable energy system.
You'll be part of the Frequency Measures unit, which consists of nine employees. The unit holds technical development and management responsibility for support services and remedial actions for frequency and balancing, and leads, drives, and participates in technical projects and studies within the frequency field. Education:
You hold a master's degree in engineering with a relevant specialization for the position, such as electrical power, energy systems, control engineering, or engineering physics, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.
You also have:
at least one year of current work experience with power system analyses and/or control technical systems in electrical power, or have completed a thesis where support services or connection requirements were a central part
good overall understanding of the power system
experience coordinating technical assignments or work
strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
Meritorious:
good expertise in power system stability such as frequency stability and balancing
experience with requirement setting in power system stability
knowledge of relevant legislation, such as European network codes (SO GL, ER, RfG, DCC, etc.)
work experience with dynamic studies of the power system and its components in, for example, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar tools

Possibility of remote work up to 50%, if work allows. #LI-hybrid.
Travel may occur both domestically and internationally, but largely depending on duty station, willingness, and interest
