The Community Development Administration is responsible for food services and facility management, development, urban planning and building permits, parks and green areas, streets, water, and waste. More than 300 employees work here to make Ystad a great municipality to live, work, and thrive in. The Cost Unit consists of 19 kitchens with 55 committed cooks and meal assistants. We collaborate with facility management, which is also part of our Food and Facility Management department. We are now seeking flexible and committed cooks who can work during short-term absences, vacation coverage, etc. You will work alongside committed colleagues who every day contribute to great meal experiences for our elderly, students/children in schools and preschools. JOB DUTIES As a temporary substitute cook with us at the Cost Unit in Ystad, you'll have the opportunity to work at many different workplaces. We have operations in preschools, schools, and elderly care. Our kitchens are well-equipped, modern, and we value cooking from scratch. Your assignment will be varied, including meal preparation and cooking, serving, dishwashing, and hygiene. Work hours are generally scheduled between 7-16 Monday-Friday; weekend work may occur in elderly care. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who meets all requirements: • We require that you have education and experience in large-scale food service or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent • Driver's license and access to a car, as some of our workplaces are located outside Ystad town • Ability to work weekends and holidays when needed, as parts of our operations run year-round • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Beyond this, we see that you're not afraid to take responsibility and learn new things. You have good organizational skills and a good ability to plan work in the kitchen. The position requires high flexibility and a solution-focused approach. You should be service-oriented and have a good ability to meet both elderly and young guests. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. For these positions, we require an extract from the criminal record register, as this is work in preschools and schools. Welcome to apply!
