Job Description The Coordinator Support unit within the Administration for Functional Support is now seeking a new coordinator. You will work with parents who have children with disabilities and where there is a significant need for support to make everyday life function. Families' support needs typically need to be met by multiple services within the region, municipality, and other actors. As a coordinator support specialist, you assist in coordinating support that often stems from a complex situation surrounding the family. The role includes collaboration with relevant actors. You will be based at Kustgatan 10 together with your colleagues within coordinator support. Job Responsibilities As a coordinator within coordinator support, you work from the family's specific needs regarding the child. You work on behalf of the parents and serve as a resource for a limited period. The role includes mapping contacts and needs surrounding the child and, together with the parent, seeking information about what support is available in society. You relieve and support the parent in matters concerning the child, both by providing support in contact with various authorities and actors and by being present before, during, and after meetings. Support can include coordination between school, social services, leisure activities, habilitation, psychiatry, or other relevant actors. You also support the parent in processes related to various applications concerning the child. Qualifications The position requires a degree in social work or another relevant academic higher education degree of 180 credits that the employer deems appropriate, such as behavioral science, social pedagogy, or special education. You have at least five years of experience working with people with disabilities. You also have documented experience in organizing and prioritizing your own work. Another requirement is knowledge of the conditions, living conditions, and rights in society for families with children with disabilities. It is a merit if you have studied social law for 7.5 credits. To succeed in this role, you are responsive and have a good ability to understand other people's situations and base your work on their support needs. Through a collaborative working approach, you create and maintain good relationships with both colleagues and various actors, which contributes to a good collaboration climate. With a good holistic perspective, you can view issues from different angles and understand how different measures and actors work together to meet the individual's needs. Work is characterized by structure, and we see that you plan, organize, and prioritize your work tasks efficiently. Finally, you are motivated by clear goals and have the ability to translate them into concrete actions. Other Information Selection may begin during the application period.
