Coordinator for Narrative Ministry Region North
STIFTELSEN BERÄTTARMINISTERIET · Full-time
Luleå C., Lulea, Sweden
Narrative Ministry is at an important juncture. After several years of growing operations, stronger impact, and increased demand from schools, partners, and community actors, we are establishing a physical presence in Region North (Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland). We are now seeking a coordinator based in Luleå who, with strong drive and good problem-solving skills, wants to contribute to equitable education for all students, regardless of background. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves where needed and are motivated by varied work tasks with meaningful purpose, you might be the person we're looking for! Narrative Ministry is a non-profit, politically and religiously independent foundation working to strengthen children's language, reading, and faith in the future in schools with the greatest needs. Our work takes place close to teaching in collaboration with teachers and is based on a simple conviction: when children gain access to language, they also gain greater ability to understand the world, express themselves, and participate fully in society. We have many years of experience in the South, West, and East regions, and in recent years have begun establishing a presence in Region North. Following a strong response from selected schools in the region, we are now initiating a physical establishment with a local team based in Luleå, with the aim of serving the entire region. An interest in school and educational matters is essential for us, as the role also involves accompanying the educational leader on school visits in the region and meeting both teachers and school leaders in various ways in our work. You also assist with technical support, take responsibility for certain facility matters such as contact with property management and external vendors, and prepare for meetings and visits. Narrative Ministry is a creative and knowledge-intensive operation, and we believe you will thrive in this type of environment. To thrive in the role, we believe you enjoy having many contact points, both internally and externally, and are motivated by creating conditions for good representation of the organization and strong collaboration. You pay careful attention to details and ensure that the organization is represented in the best possible way in everything from packing fine materials for a school class with great care to organizing a representative meeting with an educational institution. It is crucial that you thrive in the type of change that an establishment process entails and are motivated by building something new from the ground up and being in a continuous learning process.
