Värnamo is a municipality with over 34,000 residents. The Citizens' Administration is one of the municipality's eight departments and is now seeking a coordinator. The Citizens' Administration consists of six sections, where Employment and Social Services is one section. The Employment and Social Services section includes financial assistance and an employment unit, which also includes integration with the task of settling newly arrived immigrants and supporting integration into Swedish society. The section has 30 employees, including one unit manager, two group leaders, 12 coordinators, and 15 social workers.
Job Responsibilities
As a coordinator at the Employment Unit, your main responsibilities are to work with participants to develop meaningful action plans that lead to employment, studies, or appropriate support. We work according to Supported Employment, which is a structured method where you as a coordinator provide close support to both participants and employers in the process of finding, obtaining, and maintaining employment. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within the section and administration. You also collaborate extensively with other work teams and actors, both internally and externally. The role also includes primary responsibility for one or more of our programs that we run at the Employment Unit. Examples of programs include job search and housing search courses, work training, internship coordination, settlement of newly arrived immigrants, and counseling on employment support. As a new employee, you will participate in our introduction program, receive support from a mentor and colleagues. The section is facing legislative changes regarding activity requirements from July 1, which may involve changes in working methods.
Qualifications
You need to have a degree at university level, such as occupational therapist, social worker, or behavioral scientist. It is advantageous if you have worked with Supported Employment.

You thrive with variety in your work, are flexible and independent in planning your work, and have good collaborative skills. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The range stated is based on the lowest salary and median salary within the job category that this advertisement concerns. The median salary is the middle salary, which means that half of all employees within the job category in Värnamo Municipality have a lower basic salary than the median and half have higher.
