The Breast Center at Södersjukhuset is one of three breast centers in Stockholm and has the country's largest breast surgery operation. At the Breast Surgery Clinic at Vo Surgery, we are a team of contact nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, and medical secretaries who care for patients with breast diseases and malignant melanoma. Job Description Patients with breast cancer and malignant melanoma come to the Breast Clinic, and you will work as a contact nurse for these patients. As a contact nurse, you ensure the patient's participation and influence in their care. You inform and prepare the patient for upcoming steps in investigation and/or treatment. The contact nurse creates care plans and you assist at physician consultations and have your own follow-up clinic. An important task is to provide advice and support to the patient and their loved ones. Administrative tasks and telephone counseling are also included. Some wound care is also part of the role, and we also perform minor outpatient surgeries. We collaborate extensively in teams around patients with the professions of nurse, physiotherapist, social worker, and physician. The clinic's operations play a decisive role for the clinic's patients. Our goal is to make their care journey smooth by offering the right support at the right time. As a nurse with us, you have the opportunity to make a big difference every day! With us, you work primarily daytime on weekdays. You also have the opportunity to contribute to our round-the-clock operations through rotation assignments, including work every fifth weekend. Remote work can be offered based on operational needs and competence achieved. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with several years of experience. It is meritorious if you have contact nurse training or experience in cancer care or breast surgery. You are responsible, stable, and have the ability to make your own decisions. You have personal maturity. You have good collaboration skills and work in a structured manner, meaning you plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient way. You reflect on and structure your work while maintaining composure. You set and meet deadlines and are responsible enough to ask for help when needed. You are skilled at communicating both verbally and in writing. You have good IT skills. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not delay your application.
