The Strategic Networks business area at Combitech in Arboga is growing and we are looking for a leader who wants to take full responsibility for our Field Engineering operations. Here you will lead the work of planning and designing future critical communication solutions for the Swedish Armed Forces while developing both employees and business. Your role as Consulting Unit Manager - Field Engineering We are seeking a Consulting Unit Manager for one of our units within the Strategic Networks business area, based in Arboga. The unit consists of approximately 20 employees who handle project management, engineering, and documentation of our assignments with the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV (Swedish Defence Material Administration). You will become part of the management team for the business unit and help develop the operations together with other managers. In your management role, you will have full responsibility for day-to-day operations within budget and targets, as well as for the team's and employees' development. You have personnel responsibility, which includes the team's and individuals' competence development, employee conversations, and salary setting. The unit's customers are primarily within defense and authorities within total defense, which means occasional travel may occur. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is driven to lead people and develop operations in close collaboration with employees and customers. You have previous experience in leadership roles, either as a manager, team leader, or project leader, and you thrive in a results-oriented operation. Previous work with the Swedish Armed Forces, FMV, or the defense industry is also an advantage. Furthermore, we believe you have a technical interest, and experience from telecommunications, transmission, or network technology is an advantage. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, is a requirement for the position. You are naturally outgoing, with great commitment, and have an easy way of building good relationships with both employees and customers. You have the ability to motivate others, create structure, and drive development forward. You thrive in a role where you can combine leadership, technology, and business acumen, and contribute to creating an operation that develops and grows together with both employees and customers. Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you must undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check. Selection takes place on an ongoing basis.
